HILDE and HEINZ

HILDE and her buddy HEINZ are 5.5 ;years old - have been housepets in the past and are in good physical condition. We want them to stay together as they have been all their lives. Heins had a melanoma removed a short whlle ago and for that reason they must now be housepets and only minimally outdoors. They may not be good with other dogs or cats... but they're OK with large birds....

Please contact Jude.

FAITH AND HOPE

Faith and Hope, we think, are a mother daughter team respectively. To be crude, Faith is the fat one. She weighs 103 pounds, and that is just unheard of for a female Dobie. Faith is also the one who will grab you by your heartstrings first.

These girls were confiscated from their former home because of neglect. They had no shelter and no water. Imagine how that feels on a hot day in a tropical climate or these days, in a cold winter's night. Moreso, these two have had little interaction with people on a day-to-day familial basis...what they got during their short stay at Fort Doberdale, they soaked up and appreciated. Before that, they were left outside without human interraction and desired that desperately. These two are mama's babies. Or daddy's!

Hope will try to find her way around an enclosure in the back yard, and God willing, Faith will follow. That is probably why Faith currently has a laceration on her beautiful face, but that is being taken care of. Faith does everything in her power to follow Hope, who just loves to investigate. But with some regular routine, they both should settle down. I put Hope in a crate for a while and overnight, and she did settle. Long times in the crate may make her antsy and she might try to escape, but she's eager to be part of the family and crate training is a part of that. Faith just laid on the blanket that I put next to Hope's crate and she enjoyed her night of warmth in a home. We want that to be an every night event for these two lovlies. They need regularity and love. Lots of both. Plus at least a 6-foot stockade fence enclosure without any step-ups near that fencing.

They are both heartworm negative and on monthly preventative, are up-to-date on vaccines, and are spayed. Woohoo!

We are working on getting pounds off Faith. They need to be placed in a home without little children because they are very big. Just click here to look here at the story of taking them to their foster home and how big Hope is next to my big boy, Luigi!

If you are special and can work with these lovely and special all natural red gals (tails included - yay!)...then please fill out our application and send it to us at...dobermannrescue@earthlink.net

Faith and Hope are fostered in Lee county.
